About Us

Husband + Wife team Henji Cheung + Sarah Thompson combine passion + heritage to bring you Queen's English, a Cantonese restaurant serving Hong Kong cuisine with a twist. Expect fresh seafood, ginger, garlic, scallion, soy, fun textures + lots of flavour from our wok. Our intimate dining room is lively + inviting, our Chef’s Counter will mesmerize, while you watch our Chefs and Bartender in action; the covered palm filled patio is absolutely lounge-worthy + dog-friendly.

Henji was born in New Territories, Hong Kong where he grew up eating and cooking traditional Cantonese + Hakkanese dishes with his family. Our menu is a combination of Chef Henji’s flavourful childhood in Hong Kong combined with his experience as a Chef in NYC.

Sarah curates our natural wine program which is constantly changing to match the dynamic flavours of the current menu. We work with small family vineyards using minimal invention in their wine making process.
